Six generations of Flour Milling & Rusk Manufacture by the Wood Family

A small Battermix plant is commissioned and production starts
The neighbouring 6 acre site is purchased when the Buxted Poultry plant closes. The old chicken factory is 'gutted' and re-designed to make a new warehousing and distribution depot
A Flour Mill is commissioned within a new building on site to produce bulk flour for the Rusk, Breadcrumb and Blending plants.
Building begins for a new Breadcrumb plant on the old 'Buxted' site and the existing plant is de-commisioned to make room for alterations and extensions to the Rusk plant.
The old 'Buxted' offices are cleared and an extension is made to the existing warehouse to create 90,000 square foot of floor area for raw materials and finished product storage.
